Am back....

0 lil' thoughts
I am back. Thanks for all the best wishes. :-) How was exam you may ask. One word, TOUGH. Sigh... I thought I was more or less prepared, but the questions still caught me off guard.

Worse case, at the last 5 mins in the long questions paper, when the examiner said to a classmate, that he should re-do the whole graph again. I double checked my graph. GOD! I didn’t realize the question gave us the target value, and I spent 10 mins to calculate the target value, getting some decimal places in between, and round up to a bigger integer. And you guessed right, I did it wrongly. Lucky thing was, there was 5 mins left, I corrected the value in the table and started erasing the plotting on the graph and made it when the examiner said “1 more mins, please check all your answers”.

Phew… for the whole Sat afternoon, I have been thinking of the DNOM chart. I should have read twice, thrice and however many times I am supposed to, but I just didn’t. I was overly confident on that question, other than the DOE part. Just pray hard I didn’t do any careless mistake in the average effect calculations.

After exam, I felt lost. Empty. Have been attending classes for the past 4 months and thinking of the exam for whole of last month, and it’s finally over. Result will be out in 6 weeks time. Though I feel that I may have marginally passed or failed, I am hoping for the best, and preparing for the worse. :-(

Dinner
Went to library to get 2 books then met up with AT, SW, her fiancé, and her fiancé’s friend for dinner. Have not met SW since A Level, which was like almost a decade. Haha… and I have known her for 2 decades. :-p

We had Vietnamese food. Then we had some dessert and proceeded to coffee at Bugis Junction when AT suddenly said “let’s watch Balls of Fury. My gf doesn’t like this kind of boh-liao show”. I was like, “I have not even heard of the show, but seeing you are leaving, and I very bored, ok lor”. At 7.50pm, we bought the 7.50pm show. SW, fiancé, and his friend didn’t want to join coz they have to attend church service early on the next day.

Balls of Fury
So we rushed up to Shaw. The show just started, just nice. It’s really a boh-liao show, but hilarious. Good enough to de-stress. We had a good laugh, that’s very important after my exam. :-p

The show ended at 9 or so, and we went for a drink at Terra. AT called Rickson who came to Sg 2 months ago. Rickson is our high school friend. Rickson came, with gf and we chatted. Been years since I last met Rickson actually.

The 3 of them talked about finance, how much this friend is earning and stuffs, and as usual, when comes to finance, I am a total idiot. More inferior when I was told those friends in oil & gas are earning a fortune. God….

BFD
Our catch-up drink ended at almost 11pm, when I was supposed to meet an ex colleague for a drink at East Coast Park. We reached BFD at about 11.30, and were told that the kitchen is closed, so, there were only drinks and chips available. No sausages for me… :-(

He shot 2 IQ questions….. And I gave up the moment he finished the questions. No fun, he said. Damn lazy to think. :-p

A glass of margarita was it took to make me tipsy. :-( Been 2 months since I went drinking. Hehehe…

Back drop dead, but woke up at 7am on Sunday…… damn…..

Shoot em'Up
Watched Shoot em’Up with R on Sunday. Sigh…. It’s a M18 show, pervasive strong bloody violence, sexuality and some language. :-(

An overly exaggerated plot. Bad guys don’t die easily, do they?

Transformers

0 lil' thoughts
I went shopping with AT on Sat, from 5 up to 10 plus at night. We went to Junction 8 and Orchard to shop for his gifts for gf. :-) Our drop dead romantic AT... hahaha..

He wanted to watch Transformers but I refused. It’s really not my type of movie… but he is going to kill me if he knows I watched it on Sunday.

And I was so sleepy that I fell asleep for a split second…

Well, it’s not that the show was not nice (many people would say they have their thumbs up or even toes up for the show). R said he wants to get the DVD. OMG, we have just finished a show that put me to sleep, and he wants to get the DVD to watch again?

I was sort of excited when the show first started. I have long forgotten what Transformers were all about, except for the part the robots can transform, obviously. :-p

But as the show went on, I was getting more and more tired and sleepy and yawned a couple of times that he asked me to sleep if too bored…

My Wuxi Trip

4 lil' thoughts
Wuxi Trip

It was very hot and humid in Wuxi. The 2-weeks trip became a 4-days trip when customer canceled 2nd meeting.

Which was a blessing in disguise, when the day after the first meeting, I found rashes on my arms and legs. I was so worried when Diana told me if I was going to see a doctor in China, if there is anything wrong with my health, then I will not be allowed to enter Sg. OMG…. I already have almost next to nobody in Sg, what to say in China!!!

I was worried of dengue, coz I read online that people who had dengue before are at higher risk for contracting dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dying a gruesome death. Damn it… with the 40 over degree Celsius like weather, I felt like my body temperature rose by the seconds.

Once again, like last year, I had to put wet towel on my forehead and cheeks, used cold mineral water bottle on them as well. It was especially bad starting 3pm. Boss said maybe it’s fever, asked me to take panadol and monitor. Then the rashes subsided and I went back to hotel early. Honestly, that was the earliest I left company, 5.20pm when the taxi we called arrived.

I slept with full blast air-cond. Stepping out to non-air cond environment was bad. I Ungrateful creature, keep whining and whining. Now, I definitely appreciate winter (except the thick layers of clothing perhaps?). I rather die of cold than heat.

Blades of Glory

When I boarded the plane, I thought to myself I have watched enough the June flight entertainment. The 12 hours flight to Frankurt back and forth and to Shanghai. I am bored of the choices of movies. So, I decided not to watch any stupid show out of desperation.

Just before the plane took-off, I decided to take a look at the TV programme choices. Haha… to my surprise, they changed the entertainment to July already! Which means, I had a full series of new movies to choose.. and deng deng deng… the show I wanted to watch for so long… Blades of Glory!

Fiona, Daniel, SA said the show’s damn funny. I just didn’t get the chance to get to the big screen. :-( Anyway, back to the show… I laughed out in the plane, but not so syiok coz the man who sat beside me was sleeping through the flight. I wanted to LOL. :-p

I laughed especially louder the part both Chazz and Jimmy performed the first time. You know, the scene with their p*n*s close to each other. Hahaha…. It was hilarious. Hahahahahahahahaha……

And I like one phrase from Chazz “looking is free, touching will cost you something”.

Reminds me of the cab driver when I was in Wuxi. I was wearing short skirt with slits to dinner on Wed. And, because there were 4 of us, I sat beside the driver. The driver turned his head practically 90deg and stared at my thigh. Sigh… didn’t know what to do; I put my bag to cover the slit. :-( Then I told Diana in my very bad Hokkien, that the guy stared at my thigh! Then she said, never mind, stare only, if he touch you then he knows. :-(

Premonition

After Blades of Glory, I was interested in watching Premonition. I like Sandra Bullock’s shows. Previously when I fly to Guangzhou, I watched The Lake House, it was good. Anyway, these are my types of show. Not guys’ type of show I guess.

Linda (Sandra Bullock) is living her lives out of order. One day, she received news that her husband, Jim died of car accident. The next day, when she woke up, Jim is at home, treating her coldly. Then the following, her mum asked to arrange for funeral. The very next, Jim is alive.

It was “haunting” her and she wants to do her best to save her husband, from the car accident that will happen (or happened) at Mile 220.

Twist of fate, when she discovered Jim actually has an affair with Claire, the assistant manager in his company.

The cool part, when Linda went to Claire’s house and asked if there was anything they should talk about, especially about her husband. And Claire’s asked if Jim has told her. Linda said “no, I think you have just told me”.

Linda handled it well when she knew her husband has an affair. But she was torn whether to let her husband die, knowing he will die at Mile 220. Is letting him die means killing him?

At the end of the show, my opinion is, Linda “killed” her own husband. Her husband broke up with Claire just a moment before Linda called. And Linda asked him to pull over, didn’t realize it was Mile 220. Jim’s car stucked in the middle of the expressway and……

Sometimes, some things are just too late…
